Where we install solar around Washington, DC
The District is home base, and the rules change at every line around it. We install and service solar, batteries and chargers in DC and the nearby Maryland and Northern Virginia suburbs, and plan each job around the local permits and incentives.

We cover Washington, DC plus nearby Maryland and Northern Virginia from our 15th St NW service office. The biggest difference across those lines is certificate value: DC SRECs traded around $360 to $400 per MWh in 2026, standard Maryland SRECs near $40, and Virginia's 2026 vintage near $17, so the same array is sized differently on each side.

Inside the District
Most of our work happens in DC, where rowhouse flat roofs, historic districts and the country's highest SREC values shape almost every design. Arrays are sized to make every certificate count, and the paperwork includes the building permit, the Pepco agreement and, in neighborhoods like Capitol Hill, Georgetown, Dupont Circle and Kalorama, historic preservation review.
Our service office sits on 15th St NW. Inside the District we have dedicated pages for the neighborhoods with the most owner-occupied homes, listed below.

Across the Maryland line, standard SRECs trade near $40, so systems are sized mainly for bill savings. Montgomery County issues residential rooftop permits through its eSolar program with SolarAPP+, and Prince George's County is phasing in automated permitting after a 2025 state grant.
We work in both counties, including Bethesda, Silver Spring, Rockville, Gaithersburg, Takoma Park, Laurel and Bowie. Each page below covers the local permit path and the incentives that apply there.

In Virginia, the value of solar comes mostly from net metering. The State Corporation Commission's April 2026 order kept Dominion's one-to-one annual net metering, while Virginia SRECs for 2026 were priced near $17, so the certificates add a little and the bill credits do the heavy lifting.
We work in Arlington, Alexandria, Falls Church, Reston and Fairfax County. Alexandria's two local historic districts and Reston's design review add steps for some homes.

Our area pages cover six District neighborhoods and the fourteen Maryland and Virginia counties and cities listed above, and we work across the rest of the District as well. Those are the places we can reach quickly for installs and, just as important, for service calls years later.
If your home is farther out, call and ask. When the drive would make it hard to service the system well, we will tell you so rather than take a job we cannot support. Our head office is in Mount Laurel Township, NJ; this region is handled from the DC service office.
